Catering Tent
The topic will be food later on but you should also think about where your caterers are performing their responsibilities. Marquees are only one room and the floor has to be big enough to accommodate everyone, including tables and chairs, bar and disco area. Maybe you should look into renting an extra room for the food preparation equipment?
Talk to your caterer. They’ll help you determine how much space they need for their preparation, kitchenware and appliances. We provide marquee products in a variety of different sizes, and therefore sometimes it is appropriate to use a smaller version of your chosen marquee type for the food you want to serve.
Dance floor cost
Generally speaking the dance floor offers an entertaining night for your event and costs between £94.50 and £3000.
One aspect is flooring, which can significantly impact the comfort and aesthetic appeal of your marquee.
Options like wooden flooring, hard floors, or carpets offer different levels of luxury and functionality, depending on your event’s specific needs. The hire cost for these additional features can vary widely, depending on the quality, quantity, and style of the chosen items.
It’s crucial to research and compare the offerings of different marquee hire companies to find the best combination of flooring, lighting and other desirable accessories that meet your requirements and budget.
Cost of alcohol
If it is not legally permissible to obtain a bar license at a venue then the most effective solution is paying bar staff upfront to provide, and serve drinks, to your guests. A 100-person wedding party will likely cost between £600 to £700 per hour of drinking. Obviously, choices must be made regarding the type and quantity of drinks on offer.
The number of guests
It’s always a good idea to calculate how many people can comfortably fit into and under your chosen marquee. Typical marquee sizes may vary, holding between 24 to 200 visitors depending on its seating capacity. As a rule of thumb, a modest marquee of 4m x 6m holds 20 guests while a 9m x 27m marquee can hold approximately 200 people. There could be as much as £2000 difference between the smallest and largest of marquees on offer by most companies. Prices will vary depending upon how many guests are being entertained.
Marquee wedding furniture cost
Furniture costs for a marquee wedding vary from guests to the total number of seats in the room. Chairs are available to hire from £22 to £12+ a seat. Round tables from £5 to £10. Table trusses are priced from £5 a piece. Since you will also need linen for them, budget for around £1 for napkins, £10 to £115 each per square tablecloth, or around £3 to £5 per tray tablecloth.
Catering and bar staff costs
Catering costs can vary from between £50 to £100 per person, with canapés costing between £6 and £12 per serving. Depending upon your table design setting and service requirements, provision of plates, cutlery and glasses can cost from £850 to £1000. Lastly, the serving staff could cost you £20 to £30 per hour per person. Amongst the services we offer we can include providing, monitoring and cleaning toilet facilities or preparing your own in your home. If the anticipated guest numbers are around 150 people, then it would be advisable to provide at least three portable sanitary facilities: porta-cabins. If it is necessary to hire a wheelchair accessible toilet, they cost about £140.
Bar License / Alcohol
It is easiest to purchase alcohol at a unique wedding site by choosing and paying upfront and having it delivered to your bar or bar staff. You won’t need licenses for alcohol sales so your customers can enjoy themselves.
Talk to your staff and brief them as to which beverages are available to the guests. Serving draught beer is more economical than providing canned beer. Or, when hosting themed weddings, you may need to consider preparing some impressive, or quirky cocktails to impress your guests and to elevate the atmosphere.

A major advantage of a marque is their cost efficiency. Hiring a marquee does make sound financial sense when it is expensive to rent an actual, physical venue. Even if there isn’t enough space for a large marquee, in a compact garden or in a park, it’s still possible to use a smaller one.
Wedding marquees come in various sizes and styles, catering to different preferences and requirements. Smaller marquees are ideal for intimate gatherings, while larger, more elaborate options can accommodate grand celebrations.
The choice between an unlined marquee or a traditional marquee without a lining will depend on your desired aesthetic and your budget considerations. Unlined marquees offer a more rustic and casual feel, while lined marquees provide a polished and elegant look.
Additionally, seating arrangements within the marquee play a vital role in ensuring guest comfort and determining the overall layout of the space. It’s essential to carefully consider these factors when selecting a marquee hire company, as the right combination of size, style, and seating can greatly enhance the ambiance and success of your special day.
